Skygard expands capacity following strategic acquisition

Skygard strengthens its position as a prominent data centre player through the acquisition of two modern data centres in the Oslo area. The acquisition provides the company with increased capacity and the opportunity to serve more Norwegian businesses with secure and reliable solutions.
Skygard has entered into an agreement to acquire the data centre facilities OSL3 and OSL5 from Orange Business Services Norway. This strengthens the company's position in the Norwegian and Nordic data centre market and secures the necessary resources to meet increasing demand for secure data storage."The acquisition marks an important milestone for Skygard. With this, we are significantly increasing our capacity and becoming a key player in secure data storage – a vital component of the digital foundation for Norwegian business," says Elise Lindeberg, CEO of Skygard.The two new facilities have modern infrastructure and are located in the Oslo area, Norway's largest market for data centre capacity."We are taking over a skilled operations team and an established customer portfolio, which gives us the opportunity to deliver better service and greater flexibility. We are combining two established data centres with our upcoming facility at Hovinbyen, and together with an experienced organisation, we are laying the foundation for further growth," says Lindeberg.Secure Norwegian data storage with strong ownershipSkygard is owned by Telenor, Hafslund, HitecVision and Analysys Mason, who together have invested significantly in the venture.
