Updates

Here you will find information about construction work on Skygard’s property at Østre Aker Vei 24C in Oslo.We will provide more updates on this page as the work progresses.
Skygard is building an impressive and sustainable data center at Østre Aker vei 24C. An industrial site will be transformed into a green area surrounding a commercial building with a wooden façade and a green roof. A pedestrian bridge will also be built over the metro line, along with a walking path through the green area on Skygard’s property. This will be a significant improvement for the area, and we look forward to presenting the finished result.Until the data center is completed, construction and civil works will take place on the site. The data center will be built in two phases, and the first phase is now under construction. All construction and civil works involve a certain level of noise, both from traffic and from the building activities themselves. The noisiest work occurs when large concrete elements are lifted and installed, and when concrete is cut. To carry this out, shift work is currently being conducted at the construction site. In general, noisy activities will take place during the daytime, while interior construction and installation work will be carried out in the evenings. There will also be activity on Saturdays for a period.Skygard naturally complies with applicable regulations and permits, including the Regulations on the Limitation of Noise in the Municipality of Oslo, and we strive to show as much consideration as possible for our neighbors. If you experience noise that you believe exceeds legal limits, we ask that you contact our client representative: IVOE@cowi.com.
Construction work is currently taking place on Skygard’s property at Østre Aker vei 24C. Neighbors and adjacent property owners have already received a formal notification regarding this via Altinn. During construction work, it is standard practice to document the condition of neighboring properties. In this connection, we wish to document the condition of the detached houses located near the construction site. Affected neighbors will receive a letter about this. The purpose of the documentation is to have it available in the event that damage to the buildings should occur as a result of the construction work. This condition assessment involves taking photographs of the building facades. These photos will be stored, and a report documenting the condition will be prepared. The condition assessment will be carried out in weeks 25 and 26, and the registration will mainly take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This notice is for information only, as there is no need for you to be at home.
The documentation collected may be linked to you as the owner of the property. When carrying out the condition assessment, Skygard is therefore obliged to ensure that the documentation is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Skygard is the data controller for this processing. The following personal data will be processed: name, address, contact information, property and title (cadastre) numbers, photographs of the buildings’ façades, and correspondence with you. The legal basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The interests we seek to safeguard are our shared interests in ensuring that any damage is identified and sufficiently documented when following up on any claims from you.As a general rule, we will store and delete the personal data in accordance with the Limitation Act, which under the current regulations allows a maximum processing period of 13 years after the construction works/handover of the building. If necessary, the personal data may be disclosed to third parties such as a surveyor/appraiser, an insurance company, and legal advisers. If you have any questions, you can contact Ivar Øvre, client representative at Cowi: IVOE@cowi.com.
Sheet piling and excavation works are well underway and progressing according to plan. Approximately one third of the material scheduled to be removed has now been transported away.Vibration measurements are being carried out continuously. Settlement monitoring is performed on buildings around the construction area, and all affected parties have been notified and informed about this.A site accommodation unit for the workers has been set up. We strive to keep the construction site as tidy as possible at all times.
Up until the summer of 2025, there will be periods of construction work on the site at Østre Aker Vei 24C in Oslo that may cause noise for our neighbors.Working hours will be on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.There will be shorter periods during the day with breaks from the noisiest work.
