Skygard enters next phase of accelerated growth with leadership transition
Skygard is building Norway's leading sovereign colocation data center platform and is a trusted provider of secure and sustainable digital infrastructure. The company develops and operates its flagship OSL1 data center facility in central Oslo and has become Oslo’s largest co-location provider through the acquisition and integration of Orange SA’s OSL3 and OSL5 data centers in greater Oslo, while building an experienced team and a scalable platform.Skygard is entering a phase of accelerated growth that includes scaling from ~6 MW to 28 MW of IT load on existing assets by 2029, partnering with the Norwegian utility company Eviny supporting a further 90 MW and maturing an extensive development pipeline. To support this next phase, the Board of Directors has decided to implement a leadership transition. After leading Skygard since its founding, Elise Lindeberg will step down as CEO, and Trond Johannessen has been appointed interim CEO.Trond Johannessen has been involved since before Skygard’s launch and has served on its Board since 2024. He brings extensive executive experience across investment, infrastructure, energy and financial services companies, including Braganza, Spordrift, SpareBank 1 Gruppen, PwC and Hafslund."Skygard has a highly capable team, a differentiated value proposition built on top security standards, high energy efficiency, and strong strategic owners in Telenor, Hafslund and HitecVision.
